AI notetakers compared: what to check before you choose
Otter.ai, Fireflies.ai, Fathom, Read AI and Aivorys all record and summarise meetings, but they differ on languages, limits and price. This guide sets out what each vendor says on its own pricing page, read on 29 October 2026, next to what Aivorys says. Vendors change their plans, so check the current page before you decide.
What the other vendors state
Otter.ai lists a free Basic plan (300 transcription minutes a month, 30 minutes per meeting) and AI transcription in English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese and Chinese. Fathom lists a free plan with recordings, transcripts and instant AI summaries, and paid plans at $15 to $34 per user per month depending on the plan and billing period; its pricing page does not state the transcription languages. Read AI lists a free plan with 5 meeting transcripts a month and meeting reports in 16 languages. Fireflies.ai lists English as its primary language, with Spanish, French, Portuguese and Italian and "100+ other languages in beta", and shows no prices on the page we read.
What Aivorys states
The Aivorys notetaker joins Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams links (5 sessions a month on the Free plan). Inside Aivorys meetings, live translated subtitles cover up to 130 languages on Enterprise, with 24 African languages in the catalogue. Summaries can be translated and e-mailed to each participant in their own language, and exported to Notion, Linear, Jira and Slack. Paid plans are Solo €12, Team €24, Business €39 and Enterprise €79 per month.
Which one fits
If you only need free English notes on calls you already hold, a free plan from Fathom or Otter may be all you need. If your team speaks several languages, or you want the meeting, the translation and the notes in one place, Aivorys is built for that. Whatever you choose, test it on one real meeting first and see how it copes with accents and with people switching language.
Start freeFrequently asked questions
Which AI notetaker is best?
It depends on your languages, the platforms you meet on and your budget. Compare the languages, per-meeting limits, price and exports each vendor states, then test one real meeting.
Can Aivorys replace Otter or Fireflies?
For many teams, yes: its notetaker attends Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams, and Aivorys meetings have the AI agent ARIA built in, with live translation. Check that the integrations you rely on are covered.
